In 2003, the Magic Sailing Team débuts
in the competitive monotype class Mumm
30, a one-design high-performance
sailboat for fleet regattas. The class, sponsored
by Champagne Mumm, was designed by Bruce
Farr to be sailed by the owners
and generally non-professional crews. The philosophy
of the design is based on simplicity teamed
with speed and fun racing. Nonetheless, the
interior and equipment make it comfortable enough
for offshore races. The Mumm 30 is built in
Europe by Ovington
Boats in Tyne & Wear (UK).
The Magic Sailing Team is taking part in the
Italian Circuit and World Championship.
