Santarossa
S.P.A., mother company
of the group, was founded in 1972
with the transformation of an existing
company whose origins date back to
1963.
The experience
made during decades of continous activity enabled
Santarossa s.p.a. to become one of those few
companies whose production always follows and meets
market demands.
Thirty years of work, experience, continous technical
and product improvements surely represent an important
guarantee.
Over the last years, the company has aimed at developing
a group of related
companies, furniture producers,
in order to offer its customers a wide range of
products for the arrangement of all the rooms of
the home.
From these starting points,
Santarossa has developed its production in five
specific fields, each one of which
is followed by adifferent company. Moreover, in 1987 Santarossa was
the only company in the field of furniture
production to start a research program
based on high technology, acknowledged and financed
by the Ministry of University and Scientific and
Technological Research.
In this period the company also began producing
furniture for sleeping
cars on behalf of the national railway company. In 1989 the company founded
Santarossa Group, one of the most important
Italian productive groups in the field of furniture:
the technology used, the plants and the know-how
gave the company the possibilty of looking confidently
to all the markets of the world.
Organization, efficiency, reliability and quality
of production are the main point of strenght of
the international success of Santarossa Group.
In figures, the Group has consolidated a sales turnover
of 110 billion liras, 50% of which was exported.
Besides the national market, the company has long
since started its sales with great success in France,
Belgium, Switzerland, Austria. Germany, Great Britain,
Greece, Argentina, Russia and some other countries
of the former Soviet Union, Japan, China, Australia,
Korea, ....
At the moment, the total dimension of the plants
reaches 315.000 sq. km., 50.000 of which are covered.
Every company belonging to Santarossa Group employs
highly specialized engineers, advanced technologies
and workers who constantly attend training courses
aimed at improving their professional abilities.
In 1996 the company has further widened its interests
and its production by arranging completely the crew
cabins of Carnival
Destiny, the flagship of Carnival
Cruise Line at the Fincantieri shipyards in Monfalcone.
This was a first, extremely positive experience
in a new and promising
field of cruise ships which will continue in the
next projects. In fact the company
have arranged the crew cabins of the twin ships
which the Disney Cruise Line ordered to the Fincantieri
shipyards in Marghera.
