ELENA GIOLAI
Has been a freelance journalist since 1990, working with the most important sailing magazines. From 1992 to 1998, she worked as press agent at a number of international sailing events sponsored by Merit Cup. She worked with Cino Ricci on a number of occasions with the Round Italy tour and the Round Sardinia Tour, for six years now she has worked as press agent for the Mario Formenton Trophy. . She began working with the Magic Sailing Team in 1998, when the Shining project was born, working with the press office and then specialising in the Web site, with news, live photographs, videos, newsletters and the Team’s image.

She earned a diploma at the ISEF College and was part of the national windsurf team, a period during which she accumulated a great deal of experience and knowledge of the Olympic classes arena. Her competitive track record includes 4 Italian titles (in the Windsurfer and Mistral classes) and a world Mistral title (San Francisco, 1991). She has been collaborating with the Italian Federation for over 10 years: she is a national coach and pays special attention to young athletes in the Aloha windsurf classes; she is instructor trainer for the federal courses.
