DOMENICO CILENTI
Born in Padova in 1968. He is
the creator
and promoter
of the Magic
Sailing Team. He is managing
director of the Uniflair
Italia Group of Padua,
which specialises in precision air-conditioning
for comm rooms and raised flooring systems
for rooms destined to the high-tech service
industry . He is also director of Panther,
a company in the footwear business. He
has inherited from his parents a great
passion for the sea, sailing fever in
particular, ever since, as a child, his
father encouraged him to take over at
the helm of his boat on the canals of
the Venetian lagoon and in the Northern
Adriatic. He has raced in the Mumm
30 one-design class since
2003, where he acts as helmsman, as well
as in the larger
Farr 40 class
- another class where race rules call
for the owner to take the helm. With
Shining Sr. he took part
in the World and European Championships
for the Farr 40 class, which were held
respectively in Porto Cervo and Hyeres.
